la personne qui attend, Urban Feedback & Resonance, Galerie D., Romainville, France
A body kneels. In the port of Marseille, crowds surge past, blind to its presence; on the coast of the Camargue, it remains solitary. Stillness here is not possessed, but pressed against the currents of a world that will not pause. The figure waits — overlooked, interrupted, adrift in motion.
la personne qui attend is a video-performance exploring the tension between stillness and movement, solitude and collectivity. Filmed in two contrasting environments — Marseille’s frenetic port and the deserted shoreline of the Camargue — the work reflects on the difficulty of sustaining presence within landscapes shaped by global circulation and the infrastructures of modern life.
